Steps

  1. Make a paste with a small amount of the cherry juice and the corn starch. Whisk in the rest of the cherry juice.
  2. Add the sugar and bring to a gentle simmer.
  3. Add the cherries and bring to a boil, gently stirring. Remove from the heat as soon as it begins to boil and thicken.
  4. Pour in the Kirschwasser and stir to combine.
  5. Allow the mixture to come to room temperature and thicken.
